Make a Plan

Decide what the occasion is, the number of guests, the style of the party and the menu.  Then send out the invitations, ideally two weeks ahead - or more for a formal affair such as a wedding.

Make A List

You'll need one list of ingredients for recipes you want to serve.  Then build a shopping list that includes non-food items such as paper towels, toothpicks, ice, tableware and decorations.

Make A Time Table

Create a timeline for getting pre-party chores done.  You'll enjoy your own party much more if you don't wait until the day of to clean house, choose the serving dishes or polish the silverware.

Make The Moments Last

Have disposable cameras on hand for guests to capture those great party moments.
